Your favorite site shut down?
Things are getting ugly again for BitTorrent sites again. Haven't seen this many BitTorrent sites going down together in a couple years. You can thank the MPAA for most of it.
So you need a replacement for suprnova, lokitorrent, or some other site? Problem is users like yourself need to find links to new sites so they can get popular and have all the stuff you want. But if the stuff you want is copyrighted stuff, groups like the MPAA can read this page just as easy as you can, followed by potential legal actions.
So I am trying to stay out of that mess. Two kinds of links here. First are sites with 100% legal torrents since there is no issue with them. The others I call "links sites". These sites have links to hundreds of torrent sites. They keep track of what kind of file types those sites have, and if they are online, relocated, or offline. You should be able to fill most your needs this way, and I don't have to update this page every time a site goes down.
BT Links Sites
Lick My Taint - These guys keep tabs on a bunch of the online bt sites among other things. Use the menu bar at the left to find the links.
monduna.com - Lists file types and ratings of all the sites on their list.
btsites - May be the biggest one out there, right now it says 500+ sites. Some of the sites it lists are much better than others. You can also get there using
btsites.tk or the
direct link.
Legal BT Sites
f.scarywater.net - A couple movie trailers, Red Hat ISOs, etc. Site claims all files are mirrors of freely available files.
wiki.etree.org - Music site hosting
"trade friendly" music from some bands. Site was down last time I checked.
cotapers.org - Torrents of music from bands "who have policies that explicitly allow audio recording and non-commercial distribution of their performances".
