Even if you are a p2p user who has never heard of BitTorrent you may recognize this client's name (and you might want to come out from under that rock now). The main plus with using this client is you can also download things from the gnutella, gnutella2 and eDonkey networks in the same program. Note that you cannot search for torrents the same way you search for things on those other networks, you need to find the .torrent files still.

Its a good idea if you like to download things from other networks still. But honestly I don't know how many BitTorrent users still use other p2p networks much (think that could be an interesting poll). I suppose there may still be a use for them, if you download single mp3s, old files, or other small individual files still. But most current things on p2p networks are on BitTorrent.

I don't really know much about features specific to using BT on this client, since I haven't tested this one in a while. Here's a page that may help if you need more info. And as always, let me know if you have comments on this client.

From their release notes it appears most the updates on the way for version 2.2.0.0 are for ed2k, and are not BitTorrent related.
